Job Description

SCFS seeks an experienced and creative educator to lead the school’s Spanish program. Educators at SCFS are expected to uphold the school’s mission and embrace the following habits of mind: creativity, collaboration, problem solving, and growth mindset. We are looking for qualified candidates who demonstrate:

* A Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field.
* A high level of Spanish fluency.
* A successful record of collaborating with teachers, administration, students, and families.
* A comfort using technology to enhance student learning.
* A commitment to understanding and serving diverse beliefs and an eagerness to use culturally responsive teaching practices.
* Flexibility, optimism, and a sense of humor.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Teach Spanish to students K-8th grade
* Track student learning and skill mastery.
* Communicate regularly with students’ parents, including progress reports.
* Communicate and collaborate with classroom teachers

*Requirements*

* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
* Must have or obtain PA State Police Criminal History Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting Background Check
* This position includes, but is not limited to: moving; bending; walking, including at a fast pace, both indoors and outdoors; lifting up to 50 pounds; kneeling; squatting; sitting on the floor; standing for long periods of time; climbing stairs.

_The salary for this job will be based on the candidate's years of experience and educational qualifications._

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8,000.00 - $12,000.00 per year
