WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV Technician II to provide advanced, Tier 2 support for video conferencing and AV systems in executive and specialty environments. This role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and hands-on support for high-profile events and user interactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to resolve complex AV issues quickly and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary on-site AV technician , resolving the majority of in-room technical issues independently
  • Monitor and respond to VC alerts and outages in executive and specialty spaces
  • Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for all unresolved Tier 1 AV/VC issues
  • Provide event support and kickoff for in-person, hybrid, and virtual (Zoom) meetings and webinars
  • Assist with AV project deployments : new builds, asset management, commissioning, and testing
  • Support high-visibility events including live broadcasts, A/V switching, audio (A1), streaming, and video production
  • Deliver white-glove support to C-level executives and high-profile users
  • Perform root cause analyses and assist in trend tracking to reduce recurring issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and break/fix repairs on all AV/VC equipment
  • Accurately document all service tasks, incidents, and project activities
  • Monitor and manage local/global VC endpoints and related infrastructure
  • Support Tier 1 team members by offering guidance on signal flow and inspection protocols
  • Open and manage Cisco TAC cases and vendor RMAs as needed
  • Oversee inventory tracking of AV/VC gear, consumables, and spare parts
  • Ensure installations meet client AV standards and quality benchmarks
  • Partner with New Build Delivery Project Managers to provision and deploy VC/VIO hardware in new locations
  • Stay current on evolving AV technologies and proprietary client tools

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Creative and methodical problem-solving approach to AV/VC technical challenges
  • Experience with AV systems and hardware such as Neat, Q-SYS, Dante, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Shure, ClearOne, and other signal flow components
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to de-escalate high-stakes situations and deliver outstanding client service
  • Willingness to learn and align with client culture and expectations
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a technical team
  • Comfortable with physical aspects of the job, including lifting equipment and hands-on integration work
