Role Description:

This is a volunteer role for an Event Coordinator at IVO. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for helping plan, manage, and execute IVO events in the SF Bay Area. Tasks include participating in Events-Marketing Subcommittee virtual meetings, coordinating with team members, managing event logistics, handling donor relation inquiries, and assisting in event sales when necessary. The Event Coordinator will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a nonprofit events-marketing environment and contribute to making a positive impact on animal welfare, education, and global health.

Qualifications:

• Event planning and event management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience in sales is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Previous volunteer experience in a similar role is a plus
• Must be willing to work some weekends or evenings
• Access to reliable transportation to attend events
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Passion for animal welfare and commitment to the organization's mission.
